Food should be cooled down before being put in the refrigerator?

I never really understood why there's a saying that hot food shouldn't be put directly into the refrigerator. It wasn't until I saw this instruction on the refrigerator that I realized it was a statement from the refrigerator manufacturer.

I believe this is a well-intentioned approach, because putting hot food in the refrigerator forces the compressor to run at full power, increasing the chance of compressor wear and tear. So, this is looking at the issue from a different perspective. However, regardless, letting food cool down before refrigerating it increases the chance of bacterial growth, which is not good.

The editor suggests that if you really want to save your refrigerator's time and reduce the burden on the compressor, let the food cool to 60 degrees Celsius before putting it in the refrigerator, definitely not wait until it reaches room temperature. So how do you judge 60 degrees Celsius without a thermometer? 60 degrees Celsius is roughly the temperature of hot tea that feels scalding to the touch. In short, I know that putting hot food directly into the refrigerator goes against many people's long-held beliefs, but it is indeed a better way to ensure food safety.

The symmetry and positioning create an illusion so surreal that it feels like the Earth itself has come alive to observe the universe. This rare and awe-inspiring moment is a perfect example of nature’s ability to mimic art. The moon appearing in one of the “eye sockets” adds an almost sentient quality to the stone structure. Capturing a shot like this isn’t just a matter of photography—it’s about timing, patience, and the luck of being in exactly the right place at exactly the right second. It’s one of those fleeting instances when the natural world seems to wink at us.
