The truth behind grandma's fall

When Grandma began falling out of her wheelchair repeatedly, her family couldn’t ignore the growing concern. Michael, her son, was especially troubled since they had taken every safety measure possible to keep her secure. He knew something wasn’t right and needed answers.
To get to the bottom of it, Michael decided to install cameras throughout the house. He thought it would simply confirm a slip or accident. But once he began reviewing the footage, he was stunned to discover something completely unexpected and far more troubling than he’d imagined.
Michael stared at the footage, eyes wide with disbelief. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing, so he played the clip again—and again. Shaken, he rushed to show it to his wife, Loretta. Her reaction was immediate and intense. “This is insane! We need to call the police right now,” she demanded.
But Michael hesitated. While the footage was shocking, he wanted to confront the situation on his own terms. “Wait—I’ve got a different idea,” he said quietly, already heading for the door. He grabbed his car keys and drove straight to his mother’s home, determined to uncover the truth in person.

Michael had a spare key his mother had given him, so he let himself in without knocking. “Mom, it’s me!” he called, expecting to hear her usual cheerful response. But the house was quiet—too quiet. The lights were still on, and the front door was unlocked, yet there was no sign of her.
He wandered from room to room, growing more uneasy with each step. “Is anyone here?” he asked again, his voice echoing in the silence. Just as he was about to give up, something unusual caught his eye. What he saw next made his stomach drop and sent chills down his spine.
Shaken and full of dread, Michael pulled out his phone with trembling hands. Though he had hoped to handle it himself, he realized Loretta was right—this needed to be reported. As he explained everything to the 911 dispatcher, a tear slid down his cheek. He could barely process what he had just seen.
His mind raced with questions. Was it already too late to help his mother? Where could she have gone? And what exactly had he seen in the footage that disturbed him so deeply? Whatever the answers, he knew that time was of the essence—and help was on the way.
